Abstract:
The topic of this year round table represents the continuity of numerous activities concerning the introduction of digital television that RATEL has been conducting since the kick-off round table at the TELSIKS 2009 Conference in Niš.
By transition from analogue to digital terrestrial broadcasting, the use of the radio frequency spectrum is rationalized so it can be used for new Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) technologies. This broadband approach opens up the possibility to develop new services, enabling users to efficiently and effectively conduct business and perform a variety of administrative, medical, educational, cultural and other demands
The purpose of the round table discussion is to summarize the results achieved in the introduction of digitization and transition from analogue to digital TV broadcasting, and to emphasize the importance of the efficient use of the frequency spectrum released by digitization. The positive effect here can be seen not only in increasing the workload and income of telecommunication operators but also in the development and production of software and hardware that support these services and commodities.
The significance of this round table is reflected in taking the responsibility of the key actors in the process of digitizing and preparing local ICT industry, especially small and medium enterprises for the introduction of emerging technologies and specific applications.
Apstrakt:
Tema okruglog stola predstavlja kontinuitet brojnih aktivnosti RATEL-a na planu uvođenja digitalne televizije koje su započete okruglim stolom na konferenciji TELSIKS 2009. godine u Nišu.
Prelaskom sa analognog na digitalno zemaljsko emitovanje TV oslobađa se deo frekvencijskog spektra koji se može koristiti za nove bežične tehnologije širokopojasnog pristupa. Ovakav širokopojsani pristup otvara mogućnost za razvoj novih servisa i usluga, koje korisnicima omogućuju efikasnije, brže i jednostavnije: poslovanje, obavljanje raznih administrativnih, medicinskih, obrazovnih, kulturnih i drugih potreba.
Cilj aktuelnog okruglog stola je sagledati ostvarene rezultate na planu uvođenja digitalizacije i prelaska sa analognog na digitalno emitovanje TV programa, i ukazati na značaj racionalnog korišćenja frekvencijskog spektra koji se digitalizacijom oslobađa. Pozitivan efekat ovde se ogleda ne samo u povećanom obimu poslova i prihoda telekomunikacionih operatora, već i razvoju i izradi domaćih softvera a i hardvera koji podržavaju ove servise i usluge.
Značaj ovog okruglog stola ogleda se u aspektu preuzimanja odgovornosti od strane ključnih nosilaca procesa digitalizacije, kao i pripreme domaće ICT industrije, posebno malih i srednjih preduzeća u prihvatanju ovih novih tehnologija i konkretnim primenama.
